Terms and policies

Platform Terms of Use

The master agreement between you and Artistover. Everyone who uses the platform is covered by it.

Version 2.0 · Effective 28 July 2026

The official legal document is provided in English.

Artistover is operated by Artistover Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17285593, whose registered office is at 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF, United Kingdom.

These Platform Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Artistover website, applications and services. They apply to everyone: people browsing, customers booking, event organisers planning, providers listing services or venues, and guests attending an event through Artistover.

Other documents in our terms and policies sit underneath this one and add detail for particular activities. Where a more specific document covers the same subject, that document applies to that activity, and these Platform Terms continue to apply to everything else.

1. What Artistover does

Artistover is a marketplace and a set of planning tools. We help customers and event organisers find services and venues, agree terms, book and pay, and run the event. We help providers present what they offer, manage availability, quote, accept work and get paid.

When a booking is made, the contract for the service or the venue is between the customer and the provider. Artistover is not a party to that contract. We are not the provider of the service, the operator of the venue, an employer of the provider, an event organiser, an insurer, or an agent for either side.

We do provide the booking, payment, messaging and record-keeping infrastructure around that contract, and we set the rules both sides must follow to keep using Artistover.

2. Accepting these terms

By creating an account, listing on the platform, making a booking, or otherwise using Artistover, you agree to these terms and to the policies referred to in them.

If you use Artistover on behalf of a business or an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business or organisation, and these terms apply to it as well as to you.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the platform.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an Artistover account. Some categories require additional checks, licences or qualifications before you can list or book, and those are set out in the relevant policy.

We may decline to open an account, decline a listing, or decline a booking. We may also require identity verification, business details or supporting documents before you can use particular features, in particular before you can receive money through the platform.

You must not use Artistover if you are subject to sanctions or are otherwise prohibited from receiving our services under applicable law.

4. Your account

Keep your account details accurate and up to date, and keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that takes place through your account.

Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has gained access to your account. Do not share an account between separate businesses, and do not create additional accounts to avoid a restriction, a fee, a suspension or a limit on a programme.

Where you add team members, collaborators or co-hosts to a listing or an event, you remain responsible for what they do through your account and for the permissions you grant them.

5. Using the platform properly

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the platform for its intended purpose, subject to these terms.

  • Do not scrape, crawl, harvest or bulk-extract listings, profiles, contact details or any other data from the platform.
  • Do not copy, resell, sublicense or make the platform or its content available as part of a competing service.
  • Do not interfere with, overload, probe or attempt to bypass the security or access controls of the platform.
  • Do not use automated systems to create accounts, submit enquiries, manipulate availability or generate bookings.
  • Do not misrepresent who you are, who you work for, or your relationship to a business, a venue or a brand.
  • Do not use Artistover to find a counterparty and then move the transaction off the platform to avoid fees, records or protections.

Our Acceptable Use and Community Standards policy sets out prohibited services, content and conduct in full, and applies alongside this section.

6. Content you provide

You keep ownership of the content you submit. You are responsible for it, including for having the rights needed to publish it and for its accuracy.

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for formatting and display, and distribute your content for the purpose of operating and promoting Artistover and the listings and events on it. This licence lasts while the content is on the platform and for a reasonable period afterwards for backups, records and legal obligations.

We may remove or restrict content that breaches these terms, a policy, or the law, or that presents a risk to users. Our Complaints, Reporting and Content Removal policy explains how to report content and how removal and appeals work.

7. Our intellectual property

Artistover, our name, logo, brand, software, design system, database structure, taxonomy and site content are owned by us or licensed to us. Nothing in these terms transfers any of it to you.

You may not use our name, logo or brand in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership or approval that we have not given in writing.

8. Third-party services

Artistover works with third parties for hosting, payments, identity checks, maps, email, analytics and AI-assisted features. Where a third party provides part of a service to you directly, their terms may also apply and we will make that clear at the point of use.

Links to external sites are provided for convenience. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content or their practices.

9. Availability, changes and pre-release features

We work to keep Artistover available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and we may carry out maintenance that affects availability.

Some features are released early, labelled as such, or offered to a limited group. Pre-release features may change, may be withdrawn, and may not work as intended. Our Pre-launch and Beta Terms cover these.

We do not guarantee any level of demand, visibility, enquiries, bookings or revenue for a listing or an event.

10. Suspension, restriction and termination

You may stop using Artistover at any time and may close your account through your account settings, subject to completing any bookings you have already agreed.

We may restrict, suspend or close an account, remove a listing, or withdraw access to a feature where we reasonably believe there has been a breach of these terms or a policy, a risk to users or to the platform, fraudulent or unlawful activity, a failure to complete required verification, or a legal or regulatory requirement to act.

Where it is reasonable and lawful to do so, we will tell you what has happened and why, and you can appeal through our Complaints, Reporting and Content Removal policy. Where the issue is serious, involves a safety risk, or involves suspected fraud, we may act immediately and explain afterwards.

Suspension or closure does not cancel bookings that are already confirmed unless we tell you otherwise, and it does not remove obligations that have already arisen, including obligations to pay, to refund, or to deliver work already agreed.

11. What we are responsible for

We are responsible for providing the platform with reasonable care and skill. We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for the performance, quality, safety, legality or conduct of any provider, customer, organiser or guest, for what happens at an event, or for any contract made between users of the platform. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses such as loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity where you are using Artistover for business purposes.

Where we are liable, and to the extent the law allows us to limit that liability, our total liability to you in connection with the platform is limited to the greater of the total fees you paid to Artistover in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred pounds.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

12. Indemnity for business users

If you use Artistover in the course of a business, including as a provider or as an organiser running a commercial event, you agree to cover us for claims, losses and reasonable costs that arise from your breach of these terms, from your content, from the services you deliver or receive, or from your failure to comply with the law.

This does not apply where the claim results from our own breach or our own failure to use reasonable care and skill.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product and the law change. Where a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email or in the platform before it takes effect, unless the change is required sooner by law or to address a safety or security risk.

For business users, including providers, that notice period applies to changes to fees, to the rules governing listings and rankings, and to the conditions on which we may restrict or suspend an account.

If you do not accept a change, you may close your account before it takes effect. Continuing to use Artistover after a change takes effect means you accept it. Bookings already confirmed keep the terms that applied when they were confirmed.

14. General

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.

We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another business, and we will tell you if we do. You may not transfer yours without our written agreement.

These terms, together with the policies referred to in them, form the whole agreement between you and Artistover about your use of the platform. Nobody other than you and Artistover has any right to enforce them.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live, and you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections available to you there.

Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to resolve the matter. Our Complaints, Reporting and Content Removal policy sets out how to raise a complaint and how we handle it.
